Funding source: European Commission, FP7-MC-IEF, Excellence Science.
Principal Investigator: Prof. Baltasar Beferull-Lozano
Topic: The three main objectives of COGNETs are the following ones:
- Fundamental limits and design of novel algorithms for distributed spectrum sensing in WSN aided-cognitive radios, enabling them to make decisions on whether they are located in actual spectrum holes or not.
2. Interference management techniques enabling cognitive radio terminals to co-exist with primary licensed technology without causing harmful interference.
3. Design and Implementation of Cognitive Software Radio nodes based on USRP Ettus nodes.
Role: Coordinator and leading WP on distributed detection, resource allocation and implementation for the Software Defined Radios
Period: 2011- 2013
